New Digium models feature colour displays, offer ease of deployment, integrated applications and unique customization options

The newly released Digium phones include the following models:

  • The D65 is an executive-level, feature-rich HD phone with a 4.3 inch colour display and wireless headset support. It has 6-line keys with 20 scrolling pages of Rapid Dial/Busy Lamp Field (BLF) keys, and dual 10/100/1000 Mbps network ports. This model is ideal for executives and users who need a colour display, top-of-the-line features, and require Gigabit networking.
  •  The D62 is a mid-level HD phone with a 4.3 inch colour display, 2-line keys, and dual 10/100/1000 Mbps network ports. This is Digium’s best value phone for users who require a colour display and require Gigabit networking.
  • The D60 is an entry-level HD phone with a 4.3 inch colour display, 2-line keys, and dual 10/100 Mbps network ports. The D60 is Digium’s best value phone for any user who needs a colour display, but does not require Gigabit networking.

Digium phones are the only phones tightly integrated with Asterisk and Asterisk-based phone systems, including Digium’s Switchvox. No other phones on the market offer their advanced feature set,” said Malcolm Davenport, Digium senior product manager. “In addition to easy plug-and-play deployment, all models include the Digium Phone App Engine, which enables the phones to run user-developed JavaScript applications to enhance productivity. Apps like interactive voicemail, visual call parking, one-touch call recording, searchable contact directory, and presence management, all take advantage of the unique and rich data connection between Digium phones and Asterisk.

Launching alongside the next-generation Digium IP phones is a new release of Switchvox, version 6.3. New features include multicast audio and call parking enhancements. Multicast audio support enables phones to receive wide-area announcements and pages without consuming additional resources on a Switchvox system. A significant enhancement to call parking allows users to create multiple custom-defined parking lots and assign them to different users and groups.
