Grandstream Networks, the leading manufacturer of IP voice/video telephony and video surveillance solutions, is releasing its 4th new product for $1 beta testing by the Grandstream Beta Club. Grandstream will be opening applications for this product test of a new NVR from July 31st to August 13th, 2014. To apply for the Grandstream Beta Club, go to betaclub.grandstream.com.

The Grandstream Beta Club has been very successful in its first four months, with well over 1,100 applications received. Of the 120 total participants, the Beta Club has had testers from over 30 countries worldwide, and has scored 4 out of 5 stars for overall tester satisfaction. Thus far the Beta Club has tested two new video phones for AndroidTM and an E1/T1 IP PBX appliance. Grandstream would like to thank everyone for their enthusiasm and hard work, and we look forward to receiving even more suggestions for the next test product.

For the next $1 beta test, the Grandstream Beta Club is looking for IP video surveillance aficionados; those who like to experiment with and test new products, and those whose innovative ideas can transform the way in which IP video surveillance is applied in today’s market. Ideal applicants are those who have extensive experience with IP video surveillance devices, including cameras, encoders, decoders, recording devices, and video management software. Those who display a dedicated interest in exploring IP technology are also invited to attend.

The next product being released to the Grandstream Beta Club is a powerful network video recorder (NVR). This innovative NVR provides video recording, indexing, searching, and video storage management for up to 24 HD (720p) IP video cameras. The device supports all Grandstream surveillance products as well as all ONVIF compliant IP cameras. A live feed can view up to 16 cameras simultaneously and the NVR can save up to 16TB of video files. Users can connect Grandstream’s NVR to an external computer or TV monitor using the VGA or HDMI output to view recordings, monitor live feeds and adjust settings. The device supports up to 4 SATA 3.5” hard drives and includes 1 Gigabit network interface. 25 units of the NVR will be available starting on July 31st.
