Sangoma Announces Highly Accurate Answering Machine Detection Software for Asterisk

Sangoma AMD for Asterisk, a cost-effective, high performance solution for call center solutions, is immediately available to select Asterisk developers

Sangoma, a leading provider of VoIP Gateways and Asterisk Hardware, announced the launch of the Sangoma Answering Machine Detection (AMD) for Asterisk software solution. Providing backward compatibility to Asterisk 1.4, AMD for Asterisk delivers all of the features of other sophisticated dialer analytics packages at a price-point aligned with the open source marketplace. AMD for Asterisk is available immediately to select early-adopters and Sangoma anticipates a general availability release before the end of 2012. Sangoma made the announcement at AstriCon, the world’s foremost gathering of the Asterisk open source community currently taking place October 23 through 25, 2012 in Atlanta.

The solution incorporates native support for Asterisk, and AMD functions can be applied to TDM and SIP-based Voice over IP (VoIP) calls to provide implementation flexibility in the mixed-technology environments that are commonly found in many call center operations.
