What will the ITPSA Telecom Fraud Autumn Workshop cover?
The session is intended to provide attendees with an overview of the current fraud threats facing the Telecoms/VoIP industry, outlining its scale and discussing the ways to mitigate against these problems before it is too late. Looking from all angles (service provider, re-seller and vendor perspective), there will be short presentations from various industry players, outlining their experiences, followed by a panel and Q&A session to discuss the best methods of combating fraudulent activity with best practice tips.
The agenda includes:
- Telecoms/VoIP Fraud – the current state of play and how bad is it?
- An outline of three specific types of fraud and what to do to tackle it – PBX Hacks – Accessing SIP credentials – Identity spoofing
- Panel Q&A – How to prevent fraud, spot fraudsters and adhere to best practice
- ITSPA work with Law enforcement and the plan ahead in tackling this problem
