Digium to Showcase Interoperability with SimmBook at ElastixWorld
Digium, Inc., the Asterisk Hardware Company, and SimmLine, a provider of software add-ons for Elastix, today announced Digium IP phones have been certified for use with SimmLine’s contact management software, SimmBook. Digium will demonstrate the interoperability of the phones with SimmBook at Stand 5E10 at ElastixWorld, September 25-27, 2012 in Madrid, Spain.
SimmBook enables businesses to become more efficient by centralizing all contacts in their phone directory. SimmBook provides IT managers with control over the content in a phone directory, enabling them to quickly create, manage and automatically share entire phone directories to every VoIP phone within the company. The certification of the Digium D70 IP Phone , Digium D50 IP Phone and Digium D40 IP Phone models ensures that SimmBook works seamlessly with the Digium phones.
The Digium phones are specifically engineered to fully leverage the power of Asterisk, the world’s most widely adopted open source communications software, and Switchvox, Digium’s award-winning Unified Communications (UC) system. Business customers benefit from the best possible performance, unprecedented integration and a feature-rich, customizable phone system.
SimmBook is an attractive option for corporations and SMBs as it will change the way they share contact information within their company at an affordable price,” said Eduardo Sellanes, development team leader, SimmLine. “We were very impressed with how easily SimmBook integrated with the Digium phones.
Integration issues can be a huge hurdle for customers to overcome when deploying new phone systems,” said David Hardy, director of business development, Digium. “That’s why the Digium phones were specifically designed to easily integrate with Asterisk-based systems, like the Elastix open source PBX platform. We are pleased to see the integration of SimmBook with our line of business phones and believe they offer a very compelling value to SMBs.
