Yealink has announced that its UC Edition IP Phones SIP-T48G and SIP-T22P have been qualified on Microsoft Lync 2013. These are the first two Yealink phones to qualify with Microsoft and while these phones are compatible with Lync 2013, customers can expect the same features that work with Lync 2013 to also work with Skype for Business.

In this valued relationship with Microsoft, Yealink looks forward to providing much more than high-quality and feature rich IP phones,” said Stone Lu, Yealink Executive Vice President. “We intentionally designed our IP phones to be customizable and seamlessly integrate with user workflows. Our philosophy is to give every user the feeling of a tailor-made endpoint.

The SIP-T48G IP Phone’s Optima HD technology delivers lifelike voice quality. Plus, with its 7-inch, 800×480-pixel backlit touchscreen and a modern interface, the T48G makes it easy for users to see synchronized phonebooks and the communication status of their contacts. For faster, easier, and more accurate use, the phone also features Picture Dial and a full keyboard. Further demonstrating its commitment to exceptional service quality, Yealink crafted the T48G with dual-port Gigabit Ethernet connections, PoE support, and intelligent search capabilities. The economical SIP-T22P boasts similar high-quality features, all designed for a better communication and collaboration experience.

We are pleased to see Yealink qualify their T48 and T22 IP Phones on Lync 2013 with support for Skype for Business and extend the communications experience to enable people everywhere to connect and achieve more together,” said Giovanni Mezgec, GM, Skype for Business Product Marketing at Microsoft.

Yealink has led VoIP innovation for more than a decade, delivering high-quality solutions and products that are easy to deploy and simple to use. Yealink is the global TOP 2 SIP phone end point brand in terms of 2014 sales volume according to Frost & Sullivan. “Backed by our rich experience and deep understanding of the market and customer demand, Yealink will continue to offer unified communications solutions for improving business efficiency for our customers,” said Stone Lu at Yealink. “In the near future, we will deepen the collaboration with Microsoft and qualify more models of our UC portfolio.”

For customers today, Skype for Business will support backwards compatibility with Yealink’s Lync 2013 qualified IP phones. Details of what devices will work with Skype for Business can be found on Microsoft’s TechNet page.

The Yealink UC portfolio will make its world debut at Microsoft Ignite (McCormick Place, Chicago, USA, May 4-8, 2015, Yealink Booth No.407).
