snom 720 Business Phone Now Certified for Metaswitch Networks’ Platform
snom technology AG, a leading developer of VoIP Phones and IP communications solutions, announced today the snom 720 IP phone has successfully completed interoperability testing and is now Mosaic Partner Certified with the Metaswitch Networks’ solution. The snom 720, part of the new snom 7xx series of IP business phones, will be showcased in snom’s booth #502 at the Metaswitch Forum in Orlando, Florida this week.
The snom 720, introduced in October 2011, features an easy to read, four-line monochrome graphical display and offers 18 fully configurable function keys and four variable keys, ideal for managing and contacting large groups of people.
The snom 720 also supports all standard VoIP calling features, including an address book with 1,000 possible entries, speed dialing, URL dialing, ringtone selection and LED call indication. In addition, the snom 720 also features wireless LAN (WLAN) connectivity via optional USB stick.
The snom 720 IP phone addresses a key need in the market for an affordable enterprise-class phone with the capabilities and flexibility to fit businesses of any size,” said snom technology AG’s COO, Dr. Michael Knieling. “Certifying the phone through the Mosaic Partner Program for interoperability provides Metaswitch customers an endpoint with exceptional design, performance and advanced IP communications features while still retaining the utility of a traditional business phone.”
Metaswitch Networks’ Mosaic Partner Program provides a framework for third-party vendors to ensure solutions are certified with the company’s platforms. To achieve certification, the snom 720 IP phone had to pass a rigorous set of interoperability tests, encompassing basic functionality, advanced calling features, scalability and reliability.
