Sangoma, a leading provider of Asterisk hardware and software components that enable or enhance IP Communications Systems for both voice and data, will showcase its latest innovative hardware and software products at the AstriCon User Conference and Expo, scheduled for October 23 through 25, 2012 at the Sheraton Atlanta in Atlanta.  Sangoma will feature its latest technology solutions at the event, including the high-density  Sangoma A116DE PCIe and  Sangoma A116E PCIe 16-Span digital telephony board and the Sangoma Vega 400 Session Border Controller (SBC). Sangoma will be located in booth #32 throughout the Expo.

“Since the last AstriCon event, while other vendors have reduced board development efforts, Sangoma has released three new telephony boards designed for the Asterisk community, and we have no intention of slowing down,” said Nenad Corbic, vice president of software development at Sangoma. “Sangoma is pleased to contribute to this community and to be a part of the creativity generated by the close interaction between vendors, developers, and users at AstriCon that can result in a whole new wave of groundbreaking communications solutions. And we are once again looking forward to participating in AstriCon’s top-notch educational program.”

In the event’s technical program, Sangoma’s David Yat Sin will share Sangoma-developed code that facilitates the integration of GSM boards with the Asterisk platform in a session titled “LibWAT – A Common Command Library for GSM Cards Using chan_dahdi.” The session is included in the conference’s Innovation Track and will take place at 3:30pm on Wednesday, October 24.

In 2012, Sangoma has dramatically expanded its range of telephony boards and chassis-based technology solutions that enable system developers and implementers interconnect disparate technologies and networks. Among the board solutions on display in the Sangoma booth will be the A116 Board, a 16-Span board that doubles the density of any other board in the market, the Sangoma B500 BRI Cards , and the Sangoma W400 GSM boards for wireless network integration. Sangoma will also highlight its Vega gateway and appliance solutions that facilitate the integration of many Asterisk-based products into public and private networks. The Vega400 SBC is a cost-effective and flexible appliance that provides secure connectivity across IP-IP borders while seamlessly managing the potential differences in SIP implementations often faced in the field.

“Sangoma has been an active part of the Asterisk community from its very beginning,” continued Corbic. “The open source community has had a profound impact on the ways in which people and businesses connect. Sangoma is proud to be a part of this success, and we look forward to contributing for many years to come.”
