Snom Adds FreePBX Platform to Its Ecosystem

Snom Technology, a leading developer of IP telephones, is pleased to announce that following the successful completion of functionality and usability testing, the full range of Snom IP phones has been certified for full interoperability with the FreePBX platform.

As an SIP standard-based organization, Snom has a strong focus on complete interoperability. Achieving certification as part of the FreePBX program is a natural step in extending Snom’s ecosystem.

Snom CEO Nadahl Shocair stated, ”Creating a Snom ecosystem and participating in interoperability programs provides our customers and partners with total confidence in Snom endpoints, as it demonstrates thorough testing and great usability when deployed with third party products such as FreePBX.

Mark Wiegleb, Strategic Partner Manager for Snom, added, “FreePBX in our ecosystem means we nurture a closer and more direct relationship between their engineers and Snom product development and support professionals.”

Because of Snom’s unique approach to software engineering, this certification means that the complete range of Snom endpoints are now officially supported within the FreePBX EndPoint Manager. Sangoma’s VP of Marketing, Frederic Dickey, added, “FreePBX is all about freedom of choice for business communications systems. The addition of Snom’s phone to the list of supported endpoints in End Point Manager module confirms our approach to the market. EndPoint Manager enables easy provisioning and management of supported endpoints directly from within the FreePBX Administrative GUI, saving a great deal of time in the implementation of systems.”
