VoIPon Solutions attended CeBit 2015 and spoke to all the top manufacturers on show.

In this interview, Alexis Argent speaks to ZYCOO on the new iSpeaker, CooVox, CooBill and more.

Alexis Argent, VoIPon Solutions: Hello, my name is Alexis Argent, I’m the founder of VoIPon Solutions. We are here at CeBIT 2015, the largest technology show in Europe. I’m joined here by Michael, who is the business development manager at ZYCOO. Michael how are you finding the show?

Michael Jamison, ZYCOO: So far excellent Alexis, its only day one but we have seen some good interests and we are looking forward to the rest of the show.

VoIPon: Oh fantastic, perhaps you could introduce our viewers to ZYCOO?

ZYCOO: Yes I am sure some your viewers are not all aware of our brand. We are a leading developer and manufacturer of IP telecommunications equipment and software and we’ve been around since 2010. In fact we’ve started development of our products since way back in 2008, so we are not new to this market.

VoIPon: That’s cool. Perhaps you can tell us about any new products ZYCOO are introducing to the market?

ZYCOO: Yes sure! We’ve quite a few new products. Our core system is the CooVox Unifi communication solution, which is designed for small to medium sized businesses and we are continuously looking to improve and enhance the functionality of this product. For CeBIT this week we’ve got some new window’s based software add-ons. We’ve got the CooBill. This is a billing platform specifically designed for the CooVox system. Its designed traditionally for environments where organisations are looking to manage the cost of their calls and who’s using calls, its also good in multi-tenancy type environments such as hotels where you need to record the use or set pre-paid amount on each extension. So we are quite excited about CooBill. The second product is CooPanel, which as you can see is an operator type, receptionist, windows based application that gives you a visual representation of the CooVox System, so we can see all the extensions and how they’re operating. The receptionist can inter-operate with the system, they can transfer calls. You can’t particularly see well but you can pull address books from the system and you can make calls. So again brand new for CeBIT is CooPanel. And then from a hardware perspective, this is our latest device. This is the iSpeaker, a SIP based public announcement system. So this is not specifically to be used with CooVox, it can be used with any SIP based IP PBX, this is effectively is an endpoint like any other handset, registers against a PBX system and you can do public announcements or even broadcast background music. So they’re some of the new things we have for CeBIT.

VoIPon: That’s very exciting! We also understand that ZYCOO are opening an UK office, perhaps you can tell us a little more about that?

ZYCOO: Yes I can. The UK office is now in operation and it’s not just for the UK it’s scope is to cover the whole of  the European Union, so ZYCOO can now support our customers through sales and support aligned to the time zones in which our customers work. So I am sure you will be hearing more and more from us in the next few months, we’ve already just undertaken our first live webinar, where we introduced the iSpeaker to our partners. This was well received so expect to see more and hear from our UK office.

VoIPon: That’s great, it’s always great to have a UK presence, perhaps lastly is there any up and coming products or software developments that you might be able to tell us about?

ZYCOO: Yes, some i can and obviously for some other reasons some i can’t. We’ve got lots happening at the moment as we can see here we have got the CooBill* which is a softphone specifically designed for our CooVox System. There’s one or two other things that are under wraps that are add-ons that I can’t talk about today and also I mentioned the iSpeaker there, there are other variants of this that are in the pipeline, one will have video capabilities and also there are talks about possibly more intercom related features from this product.

VoIPon: Fantastic, well thanks ever so much Michael for the interview it’s been a pleasure. Thank you very much. Cheers.
