Leading voice and Unified Communications (UC) solution provider Sangoma, has released the new Switchvox Desktop Softphone for macOS and Windows.
The new Switchvox Desktop Softphone is absolutely free and available now to all users on Switchvox 7 installations with active support subscriptions.
Minimum requirements: Switchvox version 7.1 and macOS 10.13 or Windows 7 (64-bit).
Features and benefits
Similar to the Sangoma mobile app but now available on a desktop computer, the softphone further enhances the Unified Communications (UC) experience. It is a great option for remote workers who need to stay connected to the office.
The phone can manage up to two calls at a time, and features include:
Call Control
The app delivers the same powerful call control that you expect from a desktop Digium D-Series phone, including transfer, and record.
Status
Let coworkers know your Status, so they can decide how to communicate with you. Your Status can also affect how your calls are handled and what voicemail greeting is played to your callers.
Contacts
Contacts include entries in all of your Switchvox Phonebooks, plus the company directory as set up by the Switchvox administrator.
Voicemail
Visual Voicemail lets you see who has left you a voicemail, the time and date of the message and options to play or delete.
Favourites
You can set up Favorites to contain the people you communicate with often, and you’ll see their phone-state and their Status.
